I should end up close to 14" once all this is done, the deform band is dropping down toward WNY, IMO they should've closed the school for the little kids roads are ridiculous out here with cars getting stuck at intersections..

16" not out of the question here if the deform band hangs up a bit.  Ripping now with huge dendrites, piling up very quickly.  Was at 12" about an hour ago.

I'd say we've had our heaviest snow of the storm the last hour or two. Total accumulation is difficult to measure, but a sampling from around the yard suggests 6-8" since I measured late yesterday afternoon. So that, plus the 2" or so that fell during the day, means a storm total of 8-10" so far. Average depth is now about 16-18".

That deformation band looks like it means business. Looks like its moving steadily to the east. It should be here in a couple of hours. The snow here is a little lighter in intensity but the flake size is getting bigger.

Maybe it's me, but the band looks like it's weakening. However, it's hard to gauge how much lake enhancement is going on as well. On the east side of KROC, visibilities have been 1/4 mile for the last couple of hours despite how the radar looks.

Yeah, the 12z Euro wants to bury Eastern NY this run, but until its gets a little more support, I'll assume its a bit too amped at this stage.

Edit:  I can't see it right now, but apparently its ensembles were east of the OP for the 02/05 storm.

Don't look now but the 12z Euro just dropped 24-30 inches for everyone over the next week. 2 storms: 1 on the 5th and 1 on the 9th.

The second storm looks like a replay of the one that just came through: an east-west mover except with even more moisture.

Yeah the euro ensembles were slightly east of the mean for Thursday but still a very strong signal.

Under these conditions, it's tough to get an accurate measurement even if you know what you're doing. My driveway was clear yesterday...right now I've got places that are still clear and others that are buried under 36" drifts.

I put a board out yesterday afternoon in a flat area away from obstructions...it had 7" on top of it this morning. That's why I doubt the Brockport area report (that one's gotta be total snow depth). Up near the lake, who knows, but 19.5" would mean there was a LOT of lake enhancement.

Just measured an additional 4.3" since my initial measurement this morning, of 6.5"...so looks like 10.8" total. SN- now, maybe lake enhanced...not bad, NWS predictions and most NWP were about spot on.

This was a really solid storm for the entire Great Lakes/Northeast region. 19+ in Chicago, 16+ in Detriot, 10+ in Toronto, 12+ in Buffalo, 15+ in Boston. The spread of wealth was absolutely incredible. One of the most solid swaths of snow in recent memory. That animated radar loop was really told the story quite well with that immense snow shield.
