Storm overperformed out west, with 17.5" at Chicago (ORD) which makes it #6 all-time for them.

And I am certain ( let not get cocky here, lol) it will over perform out here as well!  Not historic by any means but still a very nice event to Track and Enjoy!!  Was definitely worried there for a minute but when I noticed a phase change from a POS NAO to a negative one I knew we were in for one, but didn't know where but I said immediately this thing has a good chance of coming North as it was going from +>- instyead of ->+ or else Va. and points South would be enjoying this right now.

Wind has kicked up big time with drifting but am still not liking but the best dynamics are still a ways off.  This is great!!  I'm still a sicko for this **** at 41 since 10, lol

definitely getting rates of 1 plus inch an hour. very cool. and the radar keeps back filling to the southwest. And this is before any Lake Enhancement has started.

Good for you cause its doesn't look to good to my SW and nothings filling in, lol!  It was inevitable.  Either way for you guys, the LE will make up for but for us we're toast!  The WVI looks horrible as well so I don't now whats up but everything looks great from a synoptic standpoint??

nah, look at the radar out of Detoit. Lots of moisture still on the north side of this thing. Plus, radar isn't picking up on the dry nature of this. We have another 10 hrs of hvy snow. at least along the I90 corridor. I'll eat me hat if Rochester doesn't end up with at least a foot. We already havev 5-6"

Right now, it is snowing as hard as it has all night. In Rochester. Of Course, we have good old Lake Ontario to add moisture. This storm is going just as progged for my area. I was a bit disturbed by how long it took for the snow to get north of I90. But I always freak out at the beginning of the snowstorm. Very hvy snow now, visibility about 1/10 of a mile. I dont know why the rochester observation says light snow.

Just kidding, Yeah this one's a gonner!!  Should of known not to trust those garbage weenie precip printouts as they are never, and I mean never correct except for KBOS, then they are always on point!

Light snows from here on out it looks like to me with a strenghtening system to our S&E go figure??  almost a perfect track for our area, the whole damn area and still a fcukin miss!

If we have 4" total I'd be exaggerating, lol, off to bed!  Man what a disappointment again, wait this was our first one of the season as the one in NOV, which dropped double this amount, was considered still autumn.

Elmira has over 6"

It's snowing moderate to heavy here right now. The wind is blowing to snow around pretty good. It's hard to tell exactly how much fell last night but Jim Teske on channel 9 reports about 5 inches in downtown Syracuse. He's calling for another 3-6 inches today. Radar is filling in to the southwest so it looks like we're good for the next couple of hours.

Rode this one out in Chicago. Good place to be - steady 1/2" to 1" accumulations for over 24 hours, and didn't stop once. There's a bit of lake effect on a NNE flow now, so maybe another inch or two could fall before this ends. Closest obs to where I am staying reported 18.5" which is sixth all time here. True blizzard conditions for much of yesterday afternoon as well. Been a fun one.

Heaviest snow of the storm the last hour as banding is starting to pivot through.  Big flakes, roughly 1.5"/hr.  Very difficult to measure where I am with significant blowing and drifting, but I'll be surprised if BUF NWS doesn't easily reach 12" by the time the last band moves through.  12-16" storm total range seems reasonable for BUF northtowns.
