DeltaT13
I am looking into them. I'm looking to spend like $300. Where would be the best location for one? on the roof? I can't personally confirm this but I've heard that the solar powered ones can be a real pain in the ass with charging issues. If its possible it seems that the hard wired units are the way to go. CNY-LES FREAK
Got a Davis and its a champ and has been so for years now!! Wireless up to 100 yds so its out in my BY all by itself about 15' above ground. Love it, great Christmas gift from the mrs, a few years back! CNY-LES FREAK
I doubt we see flurries out of this system as its battling some extremely dry air aloft 33F, 6Fdp, figures, lol!! That kind of Winter!

Wireless up to 100 yds so its out in my BY all by itself about 15' above ground. Love it, great Christmas gift from the mrs, a few years back! Same here. Was tired of the junkie ones. I bought the Davis Vantage Pro2 wired(had issues with wireless and have a lot of tress) for around 400 bucks. I love it. I can't remember where but either ambientweather or scientificsales. I feel for you with the new snowmobile. I am not selling mine. Went up to tug and put 100 miles on sled. Only ride of the year.
Leelee
35F and rain in West Seneca now. Ugh. GFS nailed the precip types with this one. Now to wait for Monday to miss south and Wednesday to be nothing.

Leelee
Awesome wet snow with huge flakes there when it finally turned over. Dying down now, though. I don't think 3 inches is happening here looking at radar.
Buffalo Bumble
We have had snow for last few hours here. Pretty heavy About 3 inches here - came down fairly hard for a while with big ol' fat flakes. Still snowing lightly. Nice look outside with the snow pasted on everything. BuffaloWeather
About 3 inches here - came down fairly hard for a while with big ol' fat flakes. Still snowing lightly. Nice look outside with the snow pasted on everything. Same 3 inches storm total. Really heavy wet stuff. Some models are making significant strides northward with the next system. Some like the UKMET even bring us rain.
BuffaloWeather
Most of the GEFS seem more in line with the UKIE, maybe suppression isn't the way to go. Models have been TERRIBLE this season. I can't remember them being so bad in recent memory, they were really good last year.
Leelee
0z GFS puts WNY back in the fringe for Sun/Mon. Hard to see the low going much more north with that strong high, but I don't know.
Gravity Wave
Every model except the CMC jumped north on the 0z suite. GFS and GEFS are 8-12, Euro is 6-12, UKMET is 5-10 for the region. There's still 72 hours until the onset of precip, so anything's possible.

Gravity Wave
12z NAM is 2mb stronger, a few hours slower, and ~30 miles further north. A very nice run for the entire area, 10-16".

Nice trends for sure. Meanwhile, we've had a nice 18-hour period of snow here. Nothing crazy, but a few inches of fairly wet snow through last night and a couple inches of fluff this morning as the temps have nose-dived. Good freshening of the snow pack, which was turning into a shallow glacier.

BuffaloWeather
Model consensus is coming together for a better hit for the southern portions of New York. Elmira is in a good spot for this one I think. Should be a good storm there.

Yes, I can see all four clearly - each are different shots of you streaking naked down Camp Rd. in 5"/hour snow. Thank God for the low visibility...
