MillvilleWx
Any updates on the Tug region in terms of amounts? It looks like the Adams region out toward North Redfield got the hammer with 4"/hr rates for a good period. Someone will be at 4' I'm sure

Leelee
I'm jelly of the snow Richard got. Bands were impressive, but always quickly passed through here all week. Snowpack is only a very fluffy 5-6" here in NW West Seneca

lakeeffectkid383
A good 16" snowpack at my in laws in Amherst. Maybe 4" from the band of snow this afternoon combined with the 15-16" from the snow yesterday morning. All estimates, as I haven't had any time to actually go out and measure. 2 people in my family driving from my grandmas funeral to the polish villa 2 on Clinton and Harlem for lunch got in accidents. It was really nasty out today. Gonna miss buffalo for sure. I've seen more snow the last 2 days then I prob will the rest of the season back in Rhode Island. Superstorm
I know what you mean I have been in the Buffalo area (Lackawnna) afor work for the past 7 months. The past 2 months I have seen snowfall rates (hours upon hours) unlike any other NE Snowstorm. It has changed my perspective of winter snowstorms...LES is the drug of all drugs for a snow lover. Thanks, i fell asleep last night when you guys down there were getting hammered with those 4"/hr snowfall rates. I seen some incredible drifts around the hamburg beach area earlier when i was driving thru the area. A good 16" snowpack at my in laws in Amherst. Sorry to hear about that, roads were terrible today due to the combination of cold temps/blowing snow..
Leelee
The blowing snow and cold temps to the point where salt does little has been a bad combination for driving this week. Even around here without much snow, roads are pretty rough. Tomorrow's 'warmup' will be welcome in that regard.
Buffalo Bumble
Awesome few days of weather here in WNY. Multiple waves of intense lake effect snow across the region with steady temps in the single digits and teens. As good as it gets for mid winter. Here's a couple shots from Hunter Creek (East Aurora) this afternoon. Solid 16-20" on the ground there.

Buffalo Bumble
You've done well this year. I'm always amazed how quickly she ices over after we get about a week of really cold temps. A lot of that remaining open water will probably fill in too over the next week with several nights of temps in the teens or below.

Leelee
We just need a nice stretch of warm weather combined with high winds and some sunshine to bring her right backup! Which we'll be getting with the torch coming around MLK day! It takes a while for the eastern basin to get good concentration, we should get into February with some open water. But, even long range, not seeing another chance for W-SW LES. This may even be it for decent LES snows.
Syrmax
Nice work with the lake effect. Thanks all for sharing with the forum! Enjoy the next week, at least it will allow your snow to stick around a bit, as opposed to the November blowtorch. Looks like another pattern rearrangement is coming, which will feature a week or two long warmup during the climatologicaly coldest part of winter. The timing of these is working out curiously this season...disrupting what little winter we've had, other than lake effect in some areas. By the end of this next warmup, it'll basically be February. Time flies.
