Nice pictures guys. Snow/rain line approaching my home location right now. Still near 40° in Racine, but already snowing out at BUU.

Down, down she goes. 16z HRRR run gives me 3".

Lol, @ the Mt. Geos comment!  :D

Cyclone has to break that 6" snowfall drought this winter!

right at an inch on my vehicle....I don't trust my grassy measurements as they seemed to be too high due to the squishy surface...and the pavement has a dusting at best in spots...(although the grass obviously saw the most accumulations and the vehicle didn't start accumulating on it until after the grass already had a white coating)...

Like those graphics Geos where did u get them.

Those are from the different observation sites on wunderground.com.

If you go to the interactive page and start clicking on sites, you'll see a graphs tab.

there was a lot working against the higher numbers:  wet/warm surfaces, short duration, changeover timing, marginal surface temps, etc

truth....I took the weenie on a hook bait

all in all though, a heckuva lot more snow than I was expecting 6 or 7 days ago from this system

rate has slowed but flakes have gotten larger...maybe some of the lighter QPF higher ratio stuff filtering in before the snow shuts off down this way
