Powerball
That would be kinda surprising as it seemed like our areas were in line for similar amounts. Part of the problem has been boundary layer temps. When the snow started falling, it was a couple degrees above freezing. Also, we've been just NW of the better banding... hm8
It has been ultra light snow tonight. It doesn't get lighter than this A massive 0.04" liquid with 6 consectutive hours of precip recorded at DTW
michsnowfreak
A massive 0.04" liquid with 6 consectutive hours of precip recorded at DTW That seems a bit low though. I think it may be something with the tipping bucket

DAFF
Had a few busts of snow where the pavement started to new white. First salt run of the season.
michsnowfreak
KYIP has 7 consecutive hours of T Thats definitely wrong . Asos always underdoes liquid in light snow, especially at stations like YIP (not a first order station).\ At midnight DTW had 0.9". At 1215am I had 1.1" and still snowing. The_Global_Warmer
Finished at 2.5" but it was probably closer to 3-4" with strong compaction. In spite of temps being 32-33 for the event roads slushed/snowed over twice and right at dual with a last gasp of moderate to heavy snow.
ukrocks
I have had sleet and snow this evening. Right now we have a light coating covering cars and rooftops. The temperature at my house is currently 33 degrees. This will likely be the 10th earliest 1+ inch snowfall in Louisville history assuming we get our 2-4 inches of snow before it ends late this morning. Pretty historic event unfolidng here. If we get to three inches of snow then it will only be the sixth time ever that Louisville has gotten a 3+ inch event before December. October 30, 1993 was the last time Louisville received over two inches of snow in a single event before December.

nwohweather
wow. Probably one of the higher totals Officially 3.75" of snow. I'll upload a picture here soon but yeah as I drove down around Midnight last night from the Motor City it was definitely noticeable how the snow was deeper as went further south
