Lake Erie getting hammered. Yea it's not synoptic but to experience 4'++++ would be super weenie mode with all the toppings. I just hope that one day the east coast gets a superstorm 93 but stalls out.

One assumes that given enough time, any conceivable atmospheric configuration will come to fruition, sort of like the infinite monkey theorem. All we need to do to guarantee the occurrence of a triple phaser/major hurricane merger at 40/70 in January is figure out a way to make earth and ourselves last for infinity. Should be easy.

it's always funny when you highlight a 36 hr period out of 240

I think it's more pointing out that winter isn't "Setting in"...which implied locking in the cold pattern.

I do think we will be biasing cold over the next 10-12 days, but I think Sun/Mon/Tues all come in positive departures next week. Looks pretty cold the weekend of T-day...but then I could see another relaxation after that cold shot to above avg temps again. That's getting pretty far out, so no guarantees there, but it's been the theme.

It sure has set in. Those 60s tell the tale for next week.

No month does not at least have a record high in the 60s+...winter or not.  I hope this isn't a winter that we keep searching out sustained cold.  It's still fall though but getting close to early winter.  Either way, impressive stuff going on around the country!

Yeah I was mentioning last night how CAA was so strong that we'd probably see temps falling during the day.

The sun's won the battle with the CAA.  Temps have climbed to 27.9/11, ftl.

You're brutal.

It's beautiful weather if you like cold air between your rain storms.

Looks like 2-3 days. Monday and Tuesday and Sunday is now looking much milder too.

Yep...Sunday has gotten milder for sure as we get closer...and T-day weekend has trended colder. Bit of a trade off.

The ensemble guidance is a wreck beyond T-day weekend...it looks like we could relax a bit, but the spread is huge. I wouldn't trust much of anything beyond that range until we get a bit closer.

It's funny when you exaggerate too. It's not a winter pattern locking in with cold and snow. I think my earlier posts explain that going back to yesterday.

please link exaggerated posts TIA. Its a 2 day reload that many said last week would last until the first week of Dec and I believe mid Dec was also mentioned. Of course we have these cutters but the AN posts you made for the two weeks look in trouble.

I think some are getting confused with a pattern not locking in, and a torch pattern. Two very different things and both not at play. Good news is that some subtle signs are there for a return down the road...but at least IMHO..it's far from a locked in pattern for the next two weeks or so. Perhaps more. As was stressed last night..it doesn't mean the interior can sneak in a snow event. Climo says you can do this heading into early December.

Dude, get Bastardi out of your pants. I said normal to above normal after Thanksgiving to maybe the 10th or so. Maybe I'm a degree off and it sneaks just below.
