Pleasant surprise in Athens very early this morning. The expectation was that it would be too dry for this little disturbance to produce anything more than flurries. For the most part, that was correct, however we did see a nice snow shower that dropped the visibility below a mile for about 15 minutes and dropped a quick 0.3" of snow. The ground is whitened (if only for a few hours), and I am happy :P

6z models cut qpf slightly here tonight, like 0.10" per GFS and 0.15" per NAM. No one has mentioned ratios....we are on the NW fringe but still temps will be JUST below freezing, so I wonder if it will be a wetter 10-1 ratio snow? You know, like November snow is supposed to be . Anyway, if we can lay down 1-2" of snow ahead of the arctic fluffy lake squalls (and without any notable temp spike tomorrow morning) it would be the perfect base. Could be a total winter wonderland by Tuesday if all goes well.
