Ginx snewx
Ahhh the start of the annual dissecting of NWS headlines.yea like having the lead Gov't agency for Wx be accurate and consistent is a wrong thing. The met community has been railing against weeniism, Geezus lead by example.
ORH_wxman
So box has Woodstock in the 2-4 not in WWA, next town over in Mass same but in WWA, yep and you wonder why people dont understand, I mean just follow your snow map The advisory criteria isn't hard to understand if you follow it all the time...but it might be confusing for those on the line who don't follow it. If less than 50% of the county is believed to be below advisory criteria, then they will leave it out...even if individual towns on the fringe would be in it. Hopefully most peoplejust use common sense.
Damage In Tolland
It almost has to start as snow..or at least a mix and flash quickly over. Temp is 40 and dew is 29..It's cooling aloft from top down..Obs out west start as snow or flash fairly soon.
CoastalWx
I never understood the anger of not being in a watch or warning if you are 5 miles from a town that is incorporated in it.

I don't either. If you know your climo and where you live and what typically happens..then you know what to expect.

Will have to see how much WAA comes with this but I think rain may be limited to an hour or two. 1-2" is what I'd go with too.

WinterWolf
Final call just went live, reasonably confident in this. Good Map...Looks good to me. I'm in your Covering to 2 inch area, and I'm thinking that is a fair call. All depends how long it takes to cool and change to snow here. Looks like it's cooling a lil faster than I first thought by looking down to the south in PA. We'll see.
