powderfreak
00z BTV WRF... as I would expect, in the eastern side of Stowe (where it says Putnam State Forest) on the Worecester Ridge would get the highest snow totals in town. Being the second largest town in terms of acreage in VT, there can be quite variable snow totals.

J.Spin
There was definitely another bump up in the forecast snow totals in much of Vermont, and the Winter Storm Warnings have been pushed a bit farther to the northwest. The forecast is for the Waterbury area is in the 5-10" range now. The latest advisories and projected accumulations maps from the BTV NWS are below:

tamarack
GYX has nearly all the Maine peeps (sorry, John B.) in the 10-14" color. I've yet to see a 10"+ snowfall in Nov. - 9.7" on 11/23/11 is tops (and we know how the rest of that winter turned out.) All 4 places I've lived in Maine have had 10"+ events - 5 in Ft.Kent - since I've moved to Maine, just not while I lived in those locations, and none since 1989. Maybe we break that barrier tonight? adk
I like 3-6" which is essentially what BTV has forecast, though maybe a more widespread 4-8" if the GFS/NAM are correct for the northern half to third of VT. As much as I'd love 8 or more, I think the 3-6" is the right call for the northwestern 1/2 of the state. I just don't see a period of really heavy precip nor a period of good upslope conditions on the back side. Highres WRF from the Froude page has .5" qpf for Northern Green spine from 7pm to 7am which feels about right.

dendrite
I'm dreaming of a white Thanksgiving.... http://www.newenglandwx.com/cam/cam.htm The cool thing about this is that I have it at a 10 minute loop with the frames being 20s intervals. When the loop resets you can see the branches "jump" back up which shows just how much they're sagging every 10 mins.
