T. August
25F at nearly noon under mostly sunny skies. Impressive. Wow, nice. I completely forgot about my oven-like midnight high. It's been 30F for 2 hours now.
ravensrule
It's not even that bad. I forgot what huge wimps people around here are for a second. No joke, i was just at 7-Eleven and i was not wearing a coat and everyone was commenting how crazy it was. Jon Jon is probably out in his speedo now. WEATHER53
Been researching and 80% of the winters that followed record cold temperatures in the 11/15-11/22 time frame featured one extremely cold winter month with the other two months not being uniform other than leaning slightly colder than average. das
Bottomed out at 19.5F here in Clarksburg. Up to 22.2F now. Midnight high was 34.7F. We won't see that again today. Afternoon "sensible" high was 25.4F in Clarksburg.
WEATHER53
Shades of later November 1989. I am not upset about the cheap high, 42 is still 15* below average. What I hate is in the prime time cold frame where a cold front is blasting through, it's 55 at midnight, 25 by 6am with an afternoon high of 30 but we get stuck with the 55. mattie g
We are excellent at dry cold wind. We're pretty good at cold rain, too. I had a meeting in Ballston today, but I had to wear a coat and tie. Since I don't have an overcoat, I got a bit chilly. I sucked a little.
