The trend isn't our friend, unfortunately.  We all know this one's coming west and we're all going to get rain, except maybe our mountain friends.

But I'll keep on hoping for our historic November storm.

I have to have a cute video clip every night :snowing:

I knew the trend was west, but woah nelly, it can stop. It's about time for the GFS to just lose the storm entirely.

I see the west trend back in full effect. Need a 5+ day out Bermuda storm to get snow in Raleigh these days. At least it's consistent! :)

Serenity now....serenity now....serenity now!

I really thought our luck was going to change this year.  The good news is that we can play the pity card all winter  :bag:

In all seriousness, this a really great looking winter storm for a lot of people up and down the east coast.

Finally looking at the details of the 6z GFS run, to be honest, it's a perfect SLP track for our area, about 25 miles east of HAT.  We get a ton of precip, temps dropping quick to 35F and then 33F as things wrap up.  Below is for what is shows for RDU, 1-2F is a huge difference between all rain, mix and mostly snow.  The Euro ENS run is about 25 miles east of the 6z GFS run.  This is usually conservative with mix situations too.  In fact, it has GSO and INT as all rain and us mixing for several hours.

Winter break (as of Friday) is now underway     I absolutely love my job   :D

Congrats! The weather has been so winterlike this November that winter breaks are now being pushed ahead to start in November! It really is winter in November. Are we in the Twilight Zone?

At Strawbridge Studios, I'm a photographer   ;)  Other than the occasional trip to Durham, or an afternoon running errands within SC, or my own personal photography sessions, I'm off until late February when the chaos begins again   :D

That will give you lots of time to swing the winter season ban hammer.  :)
