Sigh...

We missed you, Lookout!!!!!  What an unfortunate turn of events in what is typically the best weather subforum in existence.  Hopefully things will settle down and we can stop rehashing everything and move forward.

(I hope that Larry comes back too, but obviously that is his choice.  If he chooses not to post here, I will miss his historical weather data and the quality posts that certainly added depth to any weather discussion.)

Such a shame that fighting and bickering between adults caused this site to diminish the way it has. This site was such a tool for winter and personally taught me so much about weather and models. It was simply my daily habit to check this site 10 times a day to see what was happening each run. Hopefully the grown men and women can apologize to each other and get it back to old times.

you know, I re-read my posts and can't find any where I solicited your opinion, fraz?

go stalk your daughter's twitter some more, she'll probably have some more creative insults than what you've come up with.

Nobody asked for yours either. I suggest you take it to a PM if you have anything further to say.

I love ACTIVE weather!

there, fixed it for you lol

i was excited temporarily when the wind picked up earlier thinking the front was here, but alas another gorgeous, sunny day in the mid 60s....gorgeous but boring :) although i would rather it be dull now rather than dec - march

Yeah, there you go.  You made it better and more accurate.  I wish we could have a really windy day.  That would be awesome.

Used the day to do final full mowing and mulch the leaves into the grass. A bit early but 90% of the leaves are down and I don't enjoy mowing at 45º.  I'll hit it a quick shot after the rest cone down if we get a reasonably warm day.  Hit a balmy 75º here this afternoon.  Last one of those for a while.

lol i like all weather too but i am itching for some active and interesting weather...oct is usually a nice weather month around here with comfortable temps and low humidity but it gets dull and i am impatient for something to track.

most of leaves are gone here too.  there are some on the bottom of the trees, but many more on the ground. i was hoping that the wind would pick up and do my leaf cleanup for me but so far it hasnt happened

I still have a lot of leaves on my trees. I'll probably mow another 3 times. I don't mind riding around in the cool evening though. I hate mowing when it's in the 90s!

I took off yesterday to get new tires for my wife's car and have it inspected. Spent 4 hours getting up leaves in the backyard and cutting up the ones in the front yard. Today it already looks like I didn't do anything. The sad part is I would rather spend the time getting the leaves up again than go to work.

Same here. I usually spend every weekend in November Getting up leaves. I can mow the ones in the front and side yard. But my backyard is wooded and doesn't have any grass. I rake up the leaves in the walk area and around the kids' playset, and leave the rest in the natural areas. But there are still a lot of leaves to get up.

Raking is a pain in the butt. I have mulching mower and have a non-wooded yard, so it's pretty much easy to mow the leaves into bits and be done with it.

I rake those areas in the back and put piles in the trash bin and then dump the pile at the street. The good thing is the town will come get up the piles and you don't have to bag them in the fall.

Well in a few short weeks well all be cramped in here at this time of night analyzing the Nam as it rolls.out. Then about a month latter we'll be complaining about the lack of sleep after waiting up past midnight to see if the doc agrees with crazy historic accums the nam.spits out.

I wouldn't be so sure.  I'm afraid we might be glancing at the GFS once daily just to see if there's any hope of a pattern change.  Instead, all we'll see is endless SE ridge, nonstop highs in the 60s/70s with the occasional scattered thunderstorm, and endless cutters through southern Quebec.  Maybe the GFS will throw us a few bones at D16, but the can will continue to be kicked down the road until it's April and it's too late.
