Not sure what I said is bad. What was wrong with saying a couple of negative and pessimistic folks ran some off? That was the whole problem the other day. And it is true that more people post here in the winter then when there are severe outbreaks. And I was just saying the only way to have more people to talk about other states is for more people from those states to post more. Not sure what is so bad about what I said. I wasn't bashing the board, just talking about why some folks might have been annoyed lately with a couple of posters that were being negative and pessimistic. And the other thing about other posters from different states was a suggestion.

Wow, this November has been a mess in the SE forum so far.

Anyway, when is it going to ever rain again? Been over 30 days now.

it would seem so.  glad i missed most of it other than today.  sort of sad to see people getting bent out of shape like they apparently did, esp over the weather. its not an exact science to say the least.  hopefully we can get a growing "potential" for some frozen precip over the weekend or early next week and people will recover from whatever happened lol

i wish it would rain, its been a while here also. the leaves were pretty bland other than the maples.  while normally the next comment would never come out of my mouth (or fingers) in the winter, its still november so "there is a chance of rain sat night and sun night with temps in the low to mid 30s, and i am looking foward to it" lmao

usually in ga its the rain and 33 with the frozen stuff all around us and i am not a happy camper.  but i figure if we get this set up in november look out in dec and jan

You're fine Brick. Lets drop it.

Lol someone misses me on the other board.

"I miss our south GA friend! I know he used to post here, but he hasn't been on either very often. He's probly busy with the canceling of Honey boo boo and all! :) "

Only 30 days? That's Biblical flooding in Shetley terms. He hasn't had rain in the last 30 years!

The banter is strong this month.

I was at an training the other day... Mostly Elementray school folks. The topic is not important in this context, but I heard the following saying a few times as the participants talked, " you have to let it go".

Insert in whatever needs to be let go.

Carry on banter ..

The way this forum is disintegrating this month, you'd think it was March at the tail end of an overhyped, warm/dry winter.  Instead, it's November (the month when it pretty much never snows) and the most hyped winter in several years is upon us.  :lmao:

(I'm sort of kidding, but we have had a lot more drama than in recent years)

So why was the winter thread created a month+ in advance? I'm starting the spring discussion 2015 thread December 1st then for the torch later that month.

It is a medium to long range discussion thread. Met winter starts December 1st. Medium to long range from now would include met winter. That was my reasoning for starting the thread since you are wondering.

I thought I had stumbled on to my daughters twitter account.

Haha, thanks for the laugh!

Wow glad I missed this all yesterday. Tried accuweather then Talkweather then I finally found here in 2011 and have been happy ever since. AMWX has the best info and best posters, bar none.

Came in from Weather Underground where Levi Cowan and few other kids my age were hanging out at. It was a fun place to talk about weather with lot of knowledgeable people with good humor. However, WU had really has gotten dull with lot of unneeded model worshiping and speculations and fights has become too often. I still post on there, but some of older members have slowly left WU because it was painful to go through all of those spams until we find useful conversation. From what I've seen on here, the conversations are much more educated with actual knowledge to be gained from lurking on most sub-forums. I agree with you that this is the best place to get info and pretty much the only place that discuss everything for a local region like WNC. WU is still good when it come to actual tropical events, but it's pretty lame other wise. I'm sure AmWx is just as good, if not better, for tropical discussion though.
