On these windy occasions, KATL is often no more than a degree warmer than the coldest ATL metro station. During wedge/winter storm events, KATL is similarly uniform (not surprising).Just on calm radiational cooling nights can it be a joke, some places 15 degrees colder. I know some have said well we can get cold in November no big deal but wow singles digits in Mid November some 25 to 30 degrees below average is very impressive even for the mountains. Its funny how sometimes i'll see a 5-7 degree temp drop from the towns I ride through and the wide open wasteland that I hunt. Goes to show how much even small towns can have an affect on temps.
