Had a quick shower pass by here in Lexington, SC.   I have 57.7F at 6:30 PM.  Can anybody tell me why KCAE's weather station is always so much warmer than the surrounding areas.  I can't be more than 10-15 miles from there and it is consistently 5+ degrees warmer.  It isn't even in the city, so it shouldn't be affected to much by the urban heat island.  It should be a pretty exciting day tomorrow in the southern apps!

Noticed that too. Im a bit over 30 miles north of KCAE, and the temp spread is quite dramatic at times. Had sprinkles a bit earlier, and is currently 56F.

My Weatherbug app is detecting lightning strikes due west of Winnsboro SC.

Light to moderate rain for a couple of hours here just after it got dark. Wasn't expecting that. We scrambled to get a cover up to deal with trick or treaters, all of whom were running around soaking wet.

It's already dropped to 38 make that 37. The wind's really starting to kick up now as well, our station has 36mph gusts in the last few minutes.

I kinda feel like Jack when he stumbled into Christmas. What is this?!
