SnoJoe
Seems to be winding down here and by the looks of radar not much upstream. I thought it was suppose to transition into a NWFS event later. Is that off the table now? Did the ULL dig to far south ? I did get a measurement at a little over 6 inches. For Nov. 1 I'll take it !

WxBlue
Best I can do with my old iPhone4 so it's a little blurry due to lack of depth. Really wish I have my Canon now, but it's still beautiful either way!
MikeGold
Did just get a report from 5700 foot level on Mt Lyn Lowry....currently 25 with light snow....mist and only 3 inches. The track of the ull forcing was just to the NE of the Balsams plus very strong downsloping killed the event locally it appears
Snowless in Carrollton
Still snowing moderately here. We have up towards 7.5 inches of snow. Heading to work and going riding around. Have a great day guys! You can tell you live either up north or in the mountains if you are headed to work with 7.5 inches of snow on the ground. Around these parts, there's no way you could get to work with that much snow.

In this case, though, I don't think roads in his area are too bad Snow isn't sticking well to roads around here but I don't know about mountains. In this case, though, I don't think roads in his area are too bad Snow isn't sticking well to roads around here but I don't know about mountains. The main roads are good but the back roads are snow covered and very slick. Required 4wd to get out off the mountain.

Just noticed GSP is going to allow the WSW expire at 8pm but issued a WWA until tomorrow morning with up to 3 more inches overnight, An amazing first storm this early. mackerel_sky
Was in Asheville proper and they had about 3 inches on grass and was snowing constantly at a medium rate while on Tunnel road at the mall. Got a mile or so up the road to near UNC Asheville, and there was barely patches of snow and none falling. The micro climates up there are incredible!
