lol just get warmer and warmer. Our hope is back end and the clipper with some NWFS.

The storm is trending so much warmer, in fact, that the hi-res NAM simulated reflectivity appeared to indicate some thunder showers along the main cold front tomorrow afternoon, along a line from Franklin down to ATL.  Incredible!

Watching temps closely. Down to 33.5 now with high clouds. Noticed some locales are below freezing already. I guess it all depends when the moisture arrives. Are temps suppose to rise overnight ?

I am not sure Joe. We are sitting at 31 degrees right know. Tomorrow morning I hope is interesting. Moisture is just to the south. Wish it was about 10 degrees colder.

You guys on the very lee of the Apps. might be in for a treat since the HRRR guidance is suggesting it will be plenty cold for snow at the start of the event near Boone area with a decent isothermal layer above. So if the rates are pretty significant at the start of the event, the WAA looks pretty good for now.

Local TV meteorologist would sound more informed if they new the terrains and locals of the mtns. Even Jason boyer in Asheville. Nobody lives at 6500ft in the Balsams, it's the parkway. Every time they show a map of pockets of snow along the Jackson, transylvania, and haywood county lines they are showing the conditions of some of the highest peaks in the mtns.

By the way, where is Mike?
