Thunder Road
Anyone have any good webcam links along Lake Michigan in NW Indiana? I found one for Miller Beach but it's not working for me. I checked a few Chicago webcams and the Lake isn't too impressive here, just choppy. You can try http://www.stjoelighthouse.com/ although it just went out (and it isn't even in the best spot for wave action)
Thunder Road
VPZ was down to 36F at 11:33AM central with snow and a 3 mile visibility...they were just getting into the heavier echoes at that point so we'll see if those deteriorate further or not. Winds only gusting to 33MPH at that time. We've got 50/50 IP/SN being blown into the windows right now, vis about 1/2 mile. Starting to stick on our elevated obs deck. It's a start. We'll see if a more consolidated band forms once this little mesolow-like feature goes by.

Hoosier
Rain concerns starting to fade away imo. GYY reporting snow and not being in the best banding yet is a positive sign. There's a nice feed of lower dewpoint air trying to feed in with mid 20s dewpoints just inland in IL.

hawkeye_wx
falling squarely in the forecasted 6-8" for this area. should top out between 7-8" before it's over today. photo.JPG You just received more lake effect snow on Halloween than I've received(and maybe cyclone, too) from ANY storm since Groundhog Day 2011. Got to love LES, 8 inches is pretty impressive for October, we probably only picked up about an inch or so at my house. Hard to tell since the ground is so warm and wet the initial snow did not stick.

OHweather
Looks like the band may end up dropping the most precip and Lake and Newton Counties over the next few hours. I don't see it swinging as far into IL as the HRRR shows...looks like it'll try to stabilize soon a bit west of where it is now. Western Porter and Jasper could do pretty well too as the band is still pretty broad.
Geos
Had a burst of SN in Racine just a bit ago. Little too warm to stick though. 15z HRRR
Hoosier
Kinda knew to not trust the precip type progs in this setup but even the hi-res short range stuff is busting in that regard.
