Noticing rad is dramatically drying N of the Pike ... 

 

Noticing cloud tops cooling S of LI and what appears to be a new baroclinic leaf expanding N of the intense deep layer vortex leaving the Carolinas... suspect the drying up here and the expansion S is on schedule for the low down that way taking over and temporarily or even permanently shutting things down ... It depends on on how far west the CCB head bulges as it makes it's pass Sunday morning as to whether things will resume for these NW zones.

Bummed I'm missing the first lower elevation snow in the northern Greens... A friend sent this photo from his yard in Cambridge/Underhill, VT on the west side of Mansfield at around 900ft.

Was up there a couple weeks ago when they had the first snow up in the notch. Of course that 2500 feet. This is down at the base ish. haha Great picture.
