powderfreak
We'll have to see how this changes after the afternoon forecast package...this is what the various NWS offices had in their grids for snowfall with this storm:
Typhoon Tip
It's really too bad we can't back that CCB in another 75 miles on the NAM...that's impressive and there's pretty sufficient cold. It may yet by some... If that lead meso-beta scaled S/W is being too emphasized by the model, that might let room for a slightly west adjustment to that 2ndary more powerful dynamical event. The first being what it is at presence run and prior, ...appears to slightly lower the west wall of the west Atl ridging enough that the 2nd system can find a way E of the v-max .. huh. CoastalWx
Huron SD was 8F this morning. Next stop HIE Monday morning?

Or if it goes like the CRAPS and actually digs all the way to Florida and then ends up almost being a cutter.
CoastalWx
CRAS is great if you want half an inch and then dryslot.
IsentropicLift
CRAS is great if you want half an inch and then dryslot. Actually the CRAS is great if you live southwest of New England.
MaineJayhawk
Actually the CRAS is great if you live southwest of New England. Which .... we don't.
JC-CT
CRAS is great if you want half an inch and then dryslot. I think it is all rain for most. But we've reached the CRAS discussion quota for the season.
IsentropicLift
Which .... we don't. Well the whole point is that it's still really far West. It's actually the only model that I've seen which somewhat consolidates the energy.

JC-CT
Maybe I am looking too much into it, but it looks to me like at just 12 hours in, the GFS is already 100 miles SW of 06z at H5.
IsentropicLift
The 12z GFS is a tick southeast with the 500mb low by 36 hours which probably isn't great for the secondary low. The first system whacks eastern MA pretty hard.
powderfreak
It's a little east of 6z at 30hrs but that's not surprising...6z was pretty far west. We should be getting some consensus at this point.
IsentropicLift
Yup, the trend so far today has been to dig the 500mb low further south and then southeast. That in return ticks everything east a tad. Starting to run out of time.
dryslot
12z GFS is colder up here, Slightly East but probably will bring more frozen to the coast this run
CoastalWx
I think it is all rain for most. But we've reached the CRAS discussion quota for the season. Yeah that's what I meant..half inch of rain. Meeeehhhhhhh.

dryslot
You are one of the few folks a more eastern slip will benefit. Yup, If i could get that second low on the gfs to just go nuts 50 miles further south it would be real fun here
