chietanen
South Buffalo Sent from my iPhone Grew up nearby on Seneca St! My grandmother lives there and as of an hour ago, she reported nearly 3 feet. Hearing similar reports from friends in the area. Check out this picture looking south towards the Southtowns of Buffalo (from downtown), from @mtbranden on twitter:

WintersGrasp
Enjoy it everyone!!! Looks absolutely incredible!! Not a trace here in NE NJ lol but following the storm. Some areas look to receive 50-70 inches!!
chietanen
Crazy pics OSU!! I know the record for Buffalo proper is 38" in 24 hours and, due to the location of the snowband, that record won't be challenged, but do you know if the southtowns have similar records? It looks like this event will far exceed that amount.

40/70 Benchmark
Man, no HECS can compete with $hit. We spend years trying to align every single oceanic current, atmospheric indice and snowflake fluttering down in a remote villiage of Mongolia on halloween eve. in order to just hold a ticket to the game of atmospheric megabucks that will grant us with the remote opportunity of win access to something 70% the appeal of this. PS: You also get to laugh in the face of the 99% of the region fretting under P cloudy and disillusioned. Incredible.

ayuud11
Ahhh that feeling when you have a historic LES band just to your south and you can't even chase it with all these travel bans.

OSUmetstud
The asymmetry of this band is very cool. The northern edge is intense with a very sharp cut-off...the southern edge just gradually diffuses out. The airport would have had a shot at the 24 hr record had this been another 5-10 miles north.
