Sn0waddict
Yeah I'm sure most of them live there....thats what baffled me...the Devils had a game in 1987 where some players were 2 hours late getting to the arena. One player stuck, the rest accounted for per twitter.
BuffaloWeather
Someone has to be over 60 inches by now. the record is within reach. Lackawanna/Elma has to be near 70 inches. They've been in the death band 5+ inches per hour rates all day. Getting absolutely destroyed here still.

Thundersnow12
You don't. My tape measure starts bending. I wish I had a better one. Yes you could. You'd have to pretty much stay awake in this kind of event but you'd have to have several snow boards, say an hourly and 6 hourly board in a clear shoveled out area and wiped the boards clean every hour/6hr increment and keep a running total

BuffaloWeather
Truly incredible video. Thank you! It was incredible cold/windy. Visibility was legitimately 2 feet at times. Fishmn
You really need the old wooden fold up measuring sticks to measure this stuff. I seem to remember my fathers going to 72". They are sturdy. I used one in 96.

BuffaloWeather
LATEST UPSTREAM SATELLITE/RADAR OBSERVATIONS AND MESOANALYSIS SUGGESTS THE FLOW MAY NOT BE TURNING QUITE AS WESTERLY AS PREVIOUSLY FORECAST. AS SUCH...THE ANTICIPATED SOUTHWARD MOVEMENT OF THE BAND OVERNIGHT WILL NOT BE AS SIGNIFICANT. ADJUSTED THE FORECAST TO KEEP THE BAND ONLY SHIFTING ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF ITS CURRENT LOCATION OVERNIGHT. THE BAD NEWS WITH THIS LACK OF SHIFT IN THE BAND IS THATSOUTH TOWNS WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE HEAVY SNOW FALL OVERNIGHT AS THE BAND REMAINS NEAR STEADY STATE. THIS SAID...IT IS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION FOR ANOTHER 2 FEET TO FALL ACROSS SOUTHERN ERIE COUNTYOVERNIGHT...WHICH COULD LOCALLY PUSH THE HIGHEST MEASURED SNOW AMOUNTS ABOVE 70 INCHES.
