It was 2F at my house at 5:30AM when I left for work.  Walking on squeaky snow in November is just incredible. :snowing:

Though we didnt get any measurable snow here yesterday, I was saying the same thing to my mom. I have NEVER seen snow like this in November, where the powder (after days of wind and dry arctic air assault) has that squeaky crunch when you walk on it...reminds me of when I go up north in February and walk on snow that was packed down by snow mobilers. But this is not up north, its southeast MI. And its not February, its November :)

It is just incredible.  I wonder if it made it below zero IMBY.  Oh well I will only have my 5:30AM measurement.

Yeah normally it is not until sometime in January to get that squeaky snow.

my brother in Lakeview said no snow on the ground but ponds freezing over.

The lake here froze over on Tuesday evening.  I am pretty sure I could go out and walk on it.  Not going to risk it though because I start with a seawall with water depths at 3-4' deep so not a good idea IMO.  I will wait until December especially with this warm up / rain coming!!

The ponds on the course I live on are frozen, as are many of the smaller streams around here.

I was hoping for one more warm, rain free day to caulk the windows; but that doesn't look to promising.

A day near freezing will feel balmy as of late.... I too need some warmth to finish oil spraying some trucks.

Putting up Christmas lights tomorrow after the potential ice melts away and before the more substantial rain moves in later.

32° outside! Heat wave.  B)

I'm actually planning on doing that too sometime in between showers. With how this November has gone, I might not get another chance to do it where it isn't freezing out.

Good move Geos....I'm waiting for the last Indian summer day.

Yeah it sucks trying to work with strings of lights when it's under freezing, especially with a wind. Working with the lights can be a challenge with gloves on. Just better to do it when it's in the 40s or higher. I bet I'll see a lot of neighbors doing the same thing.

Sunday looks like a washout, so it's not happening that day!
