Second weenie band rolling through here in the last 90 minutes.  Added another unexpected inch.  Puts us at just over 4 inches on my weenie snow board since Sunday night.  Guidance seems to be slowly increasing temps for the bomber coming with some decent dynamics.  Central Indiana is in the right spot for some potential severe if some of the models pan out.  Gotta love wind chills below zero then 5 days later a possible severe potential  :o

I would imagine that I got flurries at some point early this morning to make it 7 straight days with flurries or better....but I have yet to see any myself.  Sun feels pretty nice this morning....Should have decent temps today to repair my garage door that had the tension rods detach from the wall and burn out the motor...weeeeee

Sitting at 33 here, but the wind is still stinging, 20 with gusts to 30.  While not as frigid as the past few nights looks like we have a couple of more days of lows in the teens before the big "torch" arrives on Saturday.  Things could get a little interesting, and messy, Friday night with lows forecast around 18.  Think ground temps will be right at or just below freezing for some ice accumulation as the warm air aloft moves in.

Consecutive Days With November Snow

Tuesday once again saw light snow across the area which continued the unusually long stretch of November snowfall. As a result, Rochester and La Crosse have set records for the most consecutive days with snow observed for the month of November. It should be noted that observed days of snowfall include days with trace amounts.

The tables below list the three longest stretches of snow observed during November at La Crosse WI and Rochester MN.

What a gorgeous day today. Snowfall was a bit driftier than I like, but came in with 1.4" both imby and at DTW. I had 0.09" liquid equivalent. Flurries have been falling, but snow has now picked back up...and thinking we could add some more accumulation tonight through tomorrow. The dry, powdery, drifty snow and treacherous roads are definitely rare for November. Went to the park after work, and the steel gray November sky with fresh white snow is just awesome. The Winter Solstice is 32 days away, but winter is here!

^Nice.  Looks more like the heart of December than November.  Hard to believe just a few weeks ago we were all posting leaf pics lol.

Thanks. It does. From the drive on slippery roads clogged with drifts of dry snow, to the silence of the park covered in powder I had that instant mid-winter feel when I take walks like these in Jan or Feb. The contrast of the white with the November gray is perfect in my eyes (I know many here dislike gray). Then I realized...only 32 more days til the Winter Solstice :lmao:
