Geos
Decided to start snowing again. Full dendrites falling like last night.Journeyed up to Kenosha - ground is definitely whiter. A pretty typical scene around here... little snow on the trees and ground.
cyclone77
Only made it to 30 earlier this afternoon before the temps started to slide back again. Since it failed to make it to freezing we keep the sub freezing streak going that started on the 11th. Should add another 5 days to that streak at least. Pretty damn impressive for mid November. Very impressive. Looking at MLI's records, which go back to 1874, there has been only one occurrence of 7 or more consecutive days that stayed 32˚ or lower in November... Geos
High of 31° here today. 5th day below freezing. Looks like I'll rack up 5 more days in a row below freezing at least. Little nuisance snow making the side roads a little slick tonight.

Hoosier
Would've been fun to see how cold we could get at night with some snow cover and good radiational cooling but this is more advective driven. Still gonna get cold nonetheless.

Stebo
Records in play for Chicago on Tuesday... Nov. 18th: Record low max: 22 (1903) Record low min: 8 (1880) For DTW it is 18/11 both back in 1880. I do think we end up above both, though depending on previous snowfall Tuesday Night might be in jeopardy, the record for Wednesday is 9 back in 1880 as well. Tomorrow's records for IND are 20 and 5, both set in 1880. The high has a shot to go down, the low should be safe...you'd think.
