Just got that quick dusting early in the afternoon lol, hasnt done anything else since tulsa put the advisory up. Seems like everyone is getting in on some things now except for this darn area, stuff is either hitting nortth or south!!! Its my turn ok, something anything more than flurries or the occasional lil dusting that melts off immediately haha.

All kidding aside, I think you are in a fine spot to get what hit OKC.  If it hits just right, you will be pleasantly surprised by what you get.  The radar didn't look overly impressive, but we got a solid 2" to 3" or so between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm and it is still snowing steadily (if much lighter).

I have almost an inch snowing lightly.. I just gave up yesterday and got surprised today.

--------------

... Now about 2 inches. I had a nice band move over for about an hour and put down about a good lnch. Roads are covered.  Its treading the needle I got lucky with the last band.

I live in midtown Tulsa, and we ended up with 2 inches today (Total 3 with yesterday's snow..definitely over-performed) My brother lives in Okmulgee, an hour south of me and got about 4 inches.  Still, I would like to have the BIG ONE for the entire forum, but this winter just hasn't been that.

The trend this evening in the models have been to lessen the amount of wintry precip for SC/SE KS, SW MO and OK. Central, northern Kansas and Southern Nebraska do very well in the snow department. If the GFS is correct, some areas could get nearly a foot-and-a-half.

That said, there is likely to be a period of nasty travel for S KS, SW MO and N OK...likely commencing during the day Saturday. All modes of precip will be possible.

It's all a matter of how quickly the cold air gets scoured out.

Edit: Euro still sticking to its guns of a 3-6" snowfall across S KS, SW MO and N OK. Higher snowfall amounts from W KS into S NE and Iowa.

Winter storm warnings out for the south, I think I read 7-8" of snow and zr as well as sleet down there....just freakin insane when that happens and you cant even get anything above an 1.5" storm up this way lol. Forecast seems to be all over the place again for the rest of the week and the weekend as well.

JoMo how much snow have you gotten since november? We are up to a whoppin 3.8 inches around for here on totals lol.

I'm not sure, probably around 8-10" or so.

18z NAM looking more and more interesting for this weekend. Especially for most of OK and SW MO.

The GFS, unfortunately, did not appear to be as interesting.  I am very curious what the Euro shows.  Even if it splits the difference between the NAM and the GFS, I would start getting pretty darn eager to see what happens this weekend.

12z Euro was bad... Unless you are in northern KS or northern MO.

OUN just put up advisories for the southwest third of OK (starting one tier of counties southwest of OKC metro) for 1" to 3" of snow during the day tomorrow.  The AFD is not up yet, so I can't tell if they don't think advisories are necessary in any other parts of the state or if they are just waiting some more data since anything that does fall is likely to start a bit later in the central parts of the state.

EDIT: AFD confirms that they are not seeing much snow... an inch or less... getting into Central OK and points north and east.  Beyond tomorrow, it will feel like I am back in New Jersey with warm air aloft fighting the Arctic air at the surface with the warm inevitably and inexorably winning out, although not without making things messy for a time on Saturday.
