Springfield increased it to 1-3" this evening.

This weekend's system(s) are still kind of blah. The GGEM has the best look currently with snow from roughly the KS/MO/AR/OK borders to the north.

We'll see how it goes in future runs I guess.

12z Euro ensembles still aren't very stable in relation to frozen precip location over the next 7 days. Anywhere from the NE/KS and MO/IA border down to southern OK into central Arkansas. Amounts from pretty heavy to nothing at all.

The area with the best chances for snow/frozen precip over the next 5 days are the eastern 1/2 of MO into NE Arkansas.

The afternoon disco discussions from the NWS offices were interesting starting Thursday night and through this weekend. Little Rock sounded fairly ominous about ice potential depending on the track of the surface low. Springfield said a "significant precipitation event will occurs this weekend". Tulsa rode the fence and didn't give much detail or opinion yet.

That thing looks crazy! Its about to come through here shortly but my temp is 33 currently.

Same here. Interesting! It does look almost identical to a storm we had come through the past summer that blew people's barns and stuff down here.

Saw some lightning as well but not here, was off in the distance. That was the coolest thing I have seen in a very long time it feels lol. Wow its ashame we cant get a superstorm in the 20's that will drop that kinda snow and last 8 hours or so :( . Got about a half inch or a lil over from that quick heavy hitter!!!! It was whiteout here for a few minutes

Thurs night into Friday morning looks like we could get a sloppy mess, primarily in MO/AR, better chances the farther east you are. Hopefully the 00z models show a big storm for the weekend!

I forgot about the weeklies yesterday but I looked today. I think winter will probably be over by mid-March.
