OKwx2K4
Just one more nudge north and another little nudge west and it will be perfect! It does appear somebody in the area is likely going to get hammered with something though.

Looks like the NWS offices are erring on the side of caution and I can't say I blame them based on how often we have been fooled this year. If the 00z models continue their trend, numbers may have to be adjusted up. We shall wait and see.
ouamber
^^^ I agree, I need a more NW trend, lol. Funny how the models are going back to what they looked like a week ago:)

OKwx2K4
18z RGEM looks good for Monett Tell the RGEM to calm down with the northward shifts a little, it went too far north for my liking. Haha.

JoMo
Compared to the earlier NAM above, the 18z increased amounts and moved a bit more to the NW: Bit of an east and slight north shift with a bit less precip on the 00z NAM
MoWeatherguy
Euro probably the best way to go at this point.
Wx 24/7
Euro probably the best way to go at this point. My personal favorite is the RGEM... ha! ha! Okay, all kidding aside... you might have a point.
The Waterboy
Euro still looked good too. Folks in the SE are going to have a meltdown if the north trend continues even more.

MoWeatherguy
Looks like 0z models are coming in a bit warmer tonite which is robbing snow totals for the AR and OK crowd. Looking good for MO.

I'm more concerned about the sleet/freezing rain potential. 0Z NAM definitely has a good sleet storm for parts of OK with freezing rain in AR. JoMo
00z GFS is going to have more snow up in my neighborhood, more freezing rain farther north into AR well. Images momentarily.
MoWeatherguy
GFS looking more like RGEM for sure. The MO contingent looks to be in good shape. And yes the frz rain threat becoming more of a problem down this way.

The Waterboy
That was the last thing I expected. I never thought fz rain was an issue here. I'm in Benton County (far NW) so maybe I'm still in more sleet/snow, but this northern trend looked good earlier but is starting to suck now. JoMo
The 00z GFS snow map is heavily contaminated by sleet (especially down in AR), but it did increase snow amounts back to central and southern KS and northern OK and parts of central OK. I'm not sure about the 00z GFS to be honest, it seemed like the NAM stuck to it's previous forecasts. GEM is next at 11ish and then the Euro at 12ish. I seemed to notice 412 seems to be the cutoff here for heavier stuff, or where the mix line switches or vice versa. Ive seen you guys have way more on the ground than down here and its what 15 miles or so north of me lol?

It just seems MO comes out much better with snow than AR on average. It seems to be at least 3-4 degrees colder on avg in Monett vs here in Benton Co, AR. ouamber
There are gonna be some major busted forecasts and Tulsa could be in a serious ice storm. I hope the NWS upgrades further west. If the trend is correct, this could get ugly FAST!
