Wx 24/7
I am disappointed in you JoMo. I was for sure snow was #1 in your heart. I see the Chiefs actually are. So far it has been pretty slow going in Monett. We have a light dusting at this time. Intense banding has remained mainly north of us.
JoMo
Well, I've watched it snow for the last 3 hours or so, big Chiefs game today. Gotta root them on! Moderate snow, big flake size (i can cross that off my list).... right now. Probably going to end up with 4" or so. Emergency road conditions here. Pulling for the Chiefs here too. I hate the Seahawks.
JoMo
Tapering off. Probably between 3-4". That mid-Nov sun angle melting the snow on the roads despite a temp in the 20's. 12z Euro looks confused in the medium range. It does look like we'll lose the Arctic air though. ArkieOkie
Looks like we have a narrow band of sleet moving through here before the main show. For those not familiar with my location, I'm just east of Fort Smith on the Oklahoma side of the state line.
ouamber
Just got a dusting here in the heart of Tulsa on I-44. Nothing is covered. Glad some others got some good snow, but hopefully next time it will be a better storm for us. This one just teased me and made me crave snow even more, lol. JoMo
NW AR areas look like they are going to end up with the least. I think the NAM was the first to catch the shift north once it got really close. The new GFS was too far south for too long, the Euro finally corrected farther north. NJ_Ken
So far we've got, perhaps, an inch here on the north side of OKC. After an hour or two of fairly light stuff, it has started to pick up again. Just eyeballing the radar, it looks like a band of light-to-maybe-moderate stuff is going to pass right through the city over the next few hours with me (hopefully) getting in on the northern edge. FWIW, I just took a drive. Roads are so so. Some spots are wet... others are snow covered and pretty darn slippery. I suspect that, if we can get another inch or so (which I think is reasonable) and it keeps falling until nightfall, plenty of schools in Central OK will be cancelling tomorrow. wildweatherman179
Hoping this band fills in some and stops moving south so fast. Be interesting to see what becomes of the bands forming out of North Central Texas.

David Reimer
Some sleet has been mixing in with the rain band over Denton county. As already noted there were a couple CGs detected. Good thing temperatures are above freezing or that would have set the stage for a very localized, but high-impact ice storm.

Ya, the mets down here busted on that! They kept saying just flurries south of I-40. The main low was a perfect track for OKC though.

The main low was a perfect track for OKC though. I'm noticing on radar though that the storm may start drifting back to the north over time. It's really hard to tell but that's the way it appears to me. It may not be completely over for some of us who have been left out.
NJ_Ken
The northern edge is drying out quickly in the OKC metro. The snow stopped about an hour ago where I am (on the northwest side of town) even though the radar and the trends continue to look pretty good. JoMo
Yup, last time it snowed and accumulated here in November was 2002. That was a pretty epic winter with a couple of big snowstorms, and a bunch of smaller events.
wildweatherman179
Last November snow of more than a trace for down here looks to be 1996. (Fayetteville totals) It was a 13 inch winter so not bad. They finally put 2009 back on there. It snowed 33 inches that year. Pretty amazing that I didn't remember it being that high. Edit/add: I think my snow today is a whopping .25 inches. For statistical significance, that's good enough. Should make 100 percent of climo this year.
