WintersGrasp
This kind of banding coming into our area at the end of a storm is the type that would put down an additional 5-10" of snow with temps plummeting
Isotherm
Definitely more rain than I expected locally. 2.12" and counting. 50F / wind driven rain. Gust to 25mph was highest thus far.
IsentropicLift
The 01z HRRR continues to send bands of rain through the area right through the end of its run. Most areas should see a few hour lull behind this band from hell.

Rjay
10'' just off shore LOL Yes I see. My issue with these radar estimates, it's shows I have had less than .5" for my total which is not even close.

NYC Weather Lover
Definitely a much more interesting and surprising storm than what I expected. That's the reason why I love weather so much...you never know what kind of surprises will be thrown into ordinary events. I think this "nor'easter" had a much bigger impact on our area than what many (including the media) anticipated if you ask me.
Sundog
I wonder if the dryslot over of all of Long Island will fill up eventually. Right now I would guess no despite what the HRRR might be thinking.
WintersGrasp
The banding definitely weakened as it approached and passed NYC to the west.....well, more like shrunk like it usually does at the end of a storm. It'll probably consolidate and strengthen over western NJ before it rains itself out. I always love the look of a radar like it is now from eastern Long Island north to Boston.....dozens of "little poppers" coming NW
Cfa
These are some of the gustiest winds I've seen in a while. 0.82" of rain so far, hopefully we don't get any more, unless it comes with thunder and lightning.

Sundog
Anyone have a good, detailed 24 hour+ loop of the radar from this storm so far? COD goes to 200 frames so the crazy band last night is missing from the loop.
Sundog
This would have been an incredible long duration winter storm. Here comes another batch from the north. I can only hope to see stuff like this in a couple months.
