The way the bands are rotating in from the northwest reminds me a bit of late Feb 2010, only the circulation is not as intense (they were a bit more northerly in that snowstorm.)

Radar looks like a good soaking is on the way for all of the NYC and LI area.

Some of those bands rotating in are producing .50"-1" an hour.

NCEP HAS NOT RECEIVED A FULL FEED OF SATELLITE DATA FOR INPUT INTO THE NUMERICAL MODELS SINCE 22/0000Z…POTENTIALLY IMPACTING THE MODEL FORECASTS.NESDIS AND NCEP ARE INVESTIGATING THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE ISSUE. ONCE THE SITUATION IS RESOLVED ANOTHER MESSAGE WILL FOLLOW.
