Someone is getting a ton of rain with this. Bigtime inflow with high PWAT from source region waters still very warm this time of year. Recipe for flooding.

Yeah I really wasn't hyping or kidding. Someone to our north will see double digit rainfall amounts. This looks a lot like Oct 2005 displaced north.. Covered bridge in Jackson in danger?

BTV's take so far...

&& Long term /Tuesday through Saturday/... as of 249 PM EDT Saturday...despite varying differences in the handling of upper closed energy developing across the middle- Atlantic/northeast ... cool and inclement stretch of weather still expected for the region during the Tuesday-Friday time frame. Deepening easterly maritime flow will bring periods of showers/rain to the region...with heaviest totals likely along eastern slopes of the higher terrain...especially central/southern greens and perhaps dacks. Much lighter totals west of the Adirondacks. Model-blended quantitative precipitation forecast would suggest 3-day totals in the 1-2 inch range from the dacks eastward...with scattered totals around 3 inches along aformentioned eastern slope communities. Amts likely less than an inch across the slv further removed from the maritime moisture source and lower to middle level trajectories more northeasterly. Time will tell...but this seems reasonable under such easterly flow regimes.

Why does BOX keep insisting on highs in the 50's and 60's this week? There going to be at least 1-2 days of highs in the 40's with the rain and wind

Which day/days are you pointing to?

Not sure there's going to be much in the way of wind for anyone.

41.2/36
