MN Transplant
Yeah...not exactly the nicest of Octobers so far. 10/16 days have precip at my house, but 15/16 with highs in the 60s or 70s, which is a good place to be.

Yep 11/17 here (doing CocCoRaHS reports early for the day) with last seven in a row with precip. But running a tad over +2 for the month on temps so far here. 5.96 of rain so far for month! mitchnick
The temps have been nice. It's just too squishy out there. I can't believe how much my grass grew since last week more than any other week of this mowing season, and it's not like there haven't been other rainy weeks except for that final short mow in anticipation of snow accumulations, I hate mowing now as much as I did when I first started mowing grass as a juvenile delinquent

dailylurker
That so funny. I thought I was the only weenie that cut his grass short in anticipation of snow. Wow! The power of the internet lol. Pretty wet here this month. Lost a few potato plants due to stem rot.
snowfan
GFS now keeps us mostly dry during the 7 day (and < .5" thru the full 384h period). The low dumps on New England. I suspect there's a chance for the White's in New Hampshire to pick up some early season snow this week.

I cut my grass short in Oct because it helps my leaves get blown off my yard and into the neighbor's on windy days
mattie g
I cut my grass short in Oct because it helps my leaves get blown off my yard and into the neighbor's on windy days Bingo. Except the back yard, which is fenced in. I just blow the leaves up against the fences, and if some happen to go over...oh well.

snowfan
Yeah, gonna be another windy day. Gusts to 30 possible. BTW, the tolland thread on the ne forum is a good read. Forky did some good work in there.
NinjaWarrior2
Wondering if IAD could hit 32 tonight. DCA could easily drop below 45 tonight.
Ian
Not a very impressive overnight cold setup (tho today is solid) but we won't have far to fall. Dews might stay above freezing much of the area so that could make it tricky. They're just below now though, see if modeled rise later is right. Dulles did hit 33 early mo so they could snag it I suppose.
AlaskaETC
Looks like the Nor'easter next week will be a New England event only as of now. Atmospheric memory?
snowfan
For the past few days the GFS has been very consistent with keeping us relatively dry throughout the 384h period, which is out to 11/4 now. Temps appear to be fairly ideal throughout.
T. August
DPs now in the 20s at BWI and DCA. 57/34 on the water. The DP always runs a tad too high on my station.
