toxictwister00
It was a non event anyway. I didn't even know it rained until I saw the streets were wet. 82°F Partly Cloudy...in other words HOT for October. If TWC's forecast verifies we'll be flirting with some record highs this weekend... yotaman
Very warm and humid here today. Got up to 85 with a dew point of 70. Ugh, it is supposed to be October no August. A/C is on. Currently 73, dew point of 65.
mackerel_sky
Is this October or July? High today was 87, that's 12 above normal. This will quickly erase the negative anomalies , and help get us to that + 2 or higher for the warm October!
FallsLake
Current dew point RDU sitting at 49. Looks to be a big difference setting up across the SE. Forecast for 2pm today:
CandymanColumbusGA
We hit 90 yesterday. Likely to do it again today, if not warmer, which would tie a record. 90 likely again tomorrow... Maybe a bit of a break by the weekend, but meh... Can't wait for the storms Monday night/Tuesday morning to give us something to talk about down here other than it being hot. yotaman
Both temp and dew point are way down from yesterday. Currently 78 with a dew point of 54. Still bone dry. No rain in over 2 weeks now.

jshetley
Still nothing here though and anything coming close seems to dry up. There is a small batch not too far away now but I'm not looking for it to reach me.
NEGa
Bad storm here in Oconee! No warnings but a lot worse than the dud that came through earlier. didnt have a huge storm here, but did have some good downpours, thunder and lightning that went on for a while. was nice to see it imby for a change instead of the proverbial 5 miles away lol
jshetley
And right on cue it falls apart. Had about 2 or 3 drops and radar looks clear now back to the west. I'm beginning to think it'll be Thanksgiving before we get good rain here. This fall is shaping up just like 2001 and that one was dry.

calculus1
Heavy rainfall moving over the NW NC foothills, at the moment. Unfortunately, I think it's going to skirt by just to my north.
Solak
Pretty good cluster of storms off to the N and NW... GR3 shows them 35-45 miles away, but their lightning is sure lighting up our skies. Wish we had a horizon somewhere around...I'd try to get some pics.

downeastnc
Been watching the storms all evening, gotta say I was surprised to see lightning on the horizon leaving my brothers house in western Pitt Co a couple of hrs ago.....this air mass is not one that induces one with the feeling of impending thunderstorms...if they don't completely fizz out they will actually even push into this area.
