dilly84
that looks too far south compared to all guidance I've seen. In fact the latest RAP actually has the low over Cleveland at hr 18 and the rain line touching the erie shores! That's what I thought too. That's hpc's map though. Anyways humongous flakes here right now.
buckeye
nam also takes the low to CLE...wow. Looks like the only place in Ohio that scores well will be far nw corner.

buckeye
Raining in LAF. they'll still pull out nice accums....won't be raining for long there. I just looked at precip maps on the nam and the rain snow line thru OH gets up to lake Erie. Just crazy. We know one thing for sure. Any southern stream involved system this winter will trend north. At least now we know. If you recall that happened with the Santa bomb, even though it weakened on the modeling. I think this is where you're seeing the results of the NAO that refuses to go negative. It may be cold but any storm from the south is going further n and w until we get a negative NAO.
JasonOH
No precip currently but it's still 32 degrees. Short range guidance takes the low right over my head.

They're not figuring on seeing a switch back. Still light snow here.
Snowx467
Just drove from Powell near Walmart/Meijer on 23 down to Worthington and got the whole bag. Up there all snow, starting to ping around Lazelle to 270 and then pretty much switched to rain in northern Worthington. Pretty interesting to see all those precip types in a 10 minute drive. HighTechEE
32.1 degrees and rain'n like its 80 out, AGAIN!!!!! Looks like Tstorms south of Indy, they'll be here in the Dayton area by noon. Time to watch South Park on the comedy channel!
buckeye
we are now pretty close to 2" but snow is getting lighter. Still, I was wrong about the front end....turned out to be ok afterall. More importantly is whether we can score better than anticipated on the back end......that may need a bit more of a miracle.

Radar looks good for me to enjoy at least a couple more hours of snow.

dilly84
Enjoy it while you can and maybe we can get a nice thump after the rain. Oddly enough hpc still has me at 40% to see 4" and 10% to see 8" which is kind of shocking. Radar looks good. Gonna hate seeing the blue change to green lol

Polar Vortex 2014
Big bust here. NWS was calling for less than an inch today, now upped to 1-2". 3" has fallen already, with heavy snow and big, fat flakes pouring down. Looks good for another 2-4" by mid afternoon. NWS has storm total of 3-5". I think we'll see 4-7" just today. Of course, I doubt we'll see any backend snow like they're forecasting.
