dilly84
Well this will be it. Make or break time coming up. Here's hoping for a 30 mile shift south so mostly everyone can be in on fun. Snowing on the south side of Indy right now.

jbcmh81
Maybe if we keep saying ILN is going to bust it will make us bust Not this time. This thing looks to be heading far north, and even if we managed to stay on the snow side of things, there's a huge dry slot that's going to move in. It's pretty clear on radar. buckeye
Snowing here in the ville. So reading further into ILN, they are going with 1-2", then rain, then 1-2". Do they think there will be some backlash... We'll see

That'd really suck.

dilly84
Snow has started here. Now it's a matter of how long it can hold on. How much help would a dryslot be?
dilly84
The dry slot will be a tell. Farther north the worse. Farther south the better.I'm shocked rain hasn't reached indy yet. At least not on radar.
dilly84
Radar starting to fill in. Still very light snow here. Hoping to get a decent front end and then dryslot lol. At this point that may be the only chance of any type of salvage. Just kinda makes ya sick seeing such an amazing looking radar knowing it'll switch to slop/rain. CoachLB
Yep dusting of sleet here. Radar looks nice right now. But nothing hitting the ground at this time.
buckeye
We picked up about an inch....still snowing but radar looks mixy. Dryslot in Indiana looks brutal
JayPSU
I'd rather dry slot than go to a pouring rain.

CoachLB
Yea good dry slot. Jay I agree take it over pouring rain any day.
buckeye
May be our only saving grace. Heavy rain unavoidable today. At least we have one brief moment of snowy weather before it hits.
vespasian70
Snowing nicely now, about an inch of new snow overnight. Too bad it will wash away later.
CoachLB
No snow for me. I have about 1/4 inch of sleet lol.
buckeye
Amazing how this storm trended over the last 3 days. At one point I was sweating a miss south. A week ago DT thought this would be a threat for Virginia. Today its a blizzard warning for Chicago. And yet we still follow models religiously lol. We need to get on the good side of one of these trends for once.
vespasian70
If it wasn't for the rain later today, I wouldn't be too upset about this near miss. It looks pretty wintry outside, 2"-3" of snow on the ground, and the flakes are coming down good now.

buckeye
this will be an unusual storm for us. 1-2" on the front end....pouring rain....1-2" on the backend (hopefully). Will have to watch the short term models to see what kind of charity snow we can get on the back end. This storm is suppose to track right over CMH, that can be good, (a quick switch over with a thump).....or bad (if it has a dryslot following it). buckeye
that looks too far south compared to all guidance I've seen. In fact the latest RAP actually has the low over Cleveland at hr 18 and the rain line touching the erie shores!
