TauntonBlizzard2013
A warm November after a warm October generally isn't good news for cold and snow lovers The only thing I have seen posted here is a warm first half of the month of November means virtually nothing in determining what the upcoming winter might hold. In the winter thread however, trends for some pretty important factors have seemingly taken a semi- negative turn

CoastalWx
Two interesting things. One is that model verifcation from 8-10 days ago will be beyond horrible for later this week. I saw the difference myself. Maybe Ana is to blame..or maybe it's just a classic highly amped up Pacific jet and associated amplification. Also, the big cyclone in the Indian ocean may cause the jet to fire up and buckle forcing a ridge in the NW Pacific..further enhancing the GOAK trough? http://www.atmos.albany.edu/student/kgriffin/maps/irrwind/irrwind_asia_loop.html
CoastalWx
Buddy at work also was saying models have been too low with heights in the North Atlantic.
CoastalWx
It still looked like there was some issues in the EPAC related to the outage. That also may have caused some minor havoc too, but seems like everything back to normal now.

JC-CT
My ass hasn't looked this good since June. I think it has something to do with the temperatures getting cooler again, makes people get out and exercise a bit more when the heat isn't so oppressive. You know the saying though, seasons being seasons.
