moneypitmike
I like how the Pit goes without a frost or a freeze to being in a zone that doesn't merit a freeze warning due to end of growing season. And, I still may not hit freezing tonight, lol. At least I don't warm up too much during the day. That allows me to keep my sanity.

Damage In Tolland
Euro modifying a bit with that cold shot after the storm. Looks like some pleasant wx to end the month.Define pleasant. Does that mean torch 60's and 70's and shorts for Helloween?

CoastalWx
What happened to the gradient pattern and cold oozing south in NOV? You mean the one run that had it and we were borderline? It's not a torch...just perhaps mild...but still cooler than it looked days ago. Pleasant is seasonable to mild days and cool nights. I still think there is room for a cool shot near the start of November, but who cares. The overall pattern doesn't support cold at the moment. Typhoon Tip
BOX about 3 weeks late with frost and freeze warnings for SE MA and CC. Based upon what source? CoastalWx
Based upon what source? I got October 19 for Norwood MA, from several different sources (that I use because I garden). I think he means that frosts and freezes have occurred in his area already without warning and he'd be right. I also don't agree with their rationale on a frost advisory for the coast because the wind may stay up. You aren't getting frost with the wind staying up. They (NWS) have been spot on up my way along Rt 2 - fwiw. We had a 31F morning some 6 ... 10 days back (can't recall exactly) but we had a grass lightening, car window scraper morning out of it. We were frost warned for it, too. And it actually occurred just about right on top of climo for Ayer, interestingly... Also, Norwood being the 19th, well... outstanding! It's the 19th and I bet it'll be in that 24-30F door handle knuckle annoyer range in that area. Or not ... I'd like to see the wind really die off

I thought I was close when I was at the tree farm. I come down Smead Hill so I guess you were on the left. That's a nice stretch down there--great location you've got.
