41/70 is what i prefer............. :)

Haha yeah each of us could probably pin-point an exact location we'd like in a perfect world for a mean storm track that would be favorable. But sometimes the mid-level lows dictate otherwise...I'm sure Will could find a storm at 41/70 that screwed you lol.

We can't say enough how bad this sucks.. I mean if this is true..we're looking at one of the warmest Nov on record. That means 6-7 more weeks of wearing shorts, green grass, bugs, flowers..ugh

The 7-14 day euro ensembles are a absolute torch for the US and canada and the H5 pattern on the weeklies going into November is scary

This stuff is just as bad as those calls for deep snow and brutal cold....alarmist in one direction or another.

What a beaut out there today.

64.5/50 with a strong breeze. Less than 40% remaining on trees around the Pit. A few holding tight, a few bare and the rest stages in between.

Yeah noticeable leaf and color loss on I 91.

Still, Two nice days with pretty good colors for the leaf peepers this weekend.

Greenfield businesses had a phenomenal Columbus Day weekend financially speaking.

Yeah, I am quite sure Will has at least one. Lol, Where the mid level centers track is for obvious reasons the most critical mainly but systems heading off to the NE from 41/70 rather then 40/70 will still be pretty favorable here most of the time

Millwx had a nice post in the winter outlook thread.

The bottom line is that no matter what happens....whether we have a warm winter or not after having a warm first half of November...it's meaningless when evaluating how the first half of November and the following winter behave.

Yep, I'd send people to the winter thread if they want to panic about winter...they shouldn't do it in here anyway.

Going to the winter thread would benefit some people anyway as they can read how little support some of these "theories" have.

Agsin the point is missed.. No one is saying a torch NOV like Scooter and his company WSI are calling for has anything to do with ensuing winter. We just want it to be cool to cold with wintry chances.. Not a torch with 60's and 70's all month..That's where  the irritation and upsetness is coming from..Not because we think winter is going to warm

Early November and wintry chances don't mix. We had one two years ago after not having an early November event since 2004...now we probably wont get one again for a while. Sorry.

Enjoy the pleasant weather if its mild and hope for a flip late month.

Hopefully we can get a few days with highs in the 80's in November, that would be a special treat.

Pretty unrealistic up here...it's only happened once on record at BOS and it has never happened at ORH.

Even torch-central BDL only has done it twice on record.
