Thanks Don. The soreness and pain was a lot more bearable yesterday evening. Now it's definitely getting worse as the plethora of medicine they gave me wears off. They are giving me shots every three hours which helps GREATLY. However, I can't event come close to sleep. They are putting me on Valium next time the nurse comes in which will hopefully help.

Worst part for me was 40 days of 24/7 with that wretched collar.  I don't think I was ever able to sleep two hours at a stretch during that whole period.  By day 3 I felt I'd never be able to bear the discomfort for the whole time, but by day 7 it became almost routine.  "This also shall pass."

lol still pushing that fallacy I see, very very few people like swampy conditions, 99% like COC weather , proven and shown very clearly this summer, Dew the dew is for the great minority

That wasn't proven anywhere. 99%??lol.that is a joke. Many  folks expressed they liked hot and humid weather in summer. I'm not going to make up a number like you did..but most here know there's plenty of summer lovers out there. But now..very few want it..they want fall weather and chills in the air. And in winter..they want cold and snow in the air and on the ground. How many times do we all have to go over this?

I'm not saying the majority like heat and humidity..but 99% of people do not like cool, dry summers. That's not true.  I'd say the numbers are probably like 35-40% of people like heat and humidity and 55-60% do not

lets put a question out there. Its 3am, you are in your bed, what would you like for the climate to be in your bedroom, A) windows open warm dry air about 70, B ) windows open, your sheets stuck to your body, no air moving. C) the AC on to simulate A

We already ran a poll in here...80% preferred summer dewpoints below 65F and 83% perferred high temps below 90F. If you love hot and humid weather, you would have voted above both of those thresholds.

I doubt the general public is much different. The majority of the public also doesn't really want "seasons in seasons" either...they love warm winters contrary to what most of us on the forums love. If they had their way, it would be 65-80F year-round and dry...that's probably why San Diego and other southern areas are frequently voted best weather/climate in the U.S. in mainstream public outlets like U.S. News and Travel Magazine.

Actually, I'd like a summer climate about like St. John's, NF; winter climate similar without the warm air/rainy intrusions they get when a winter storm passes to their west. Maybe a bit more sunshine than they get, too. But I could easily live in a place where it rarely topped 75F  with lows around 50F and where winter high temps were about 28F with lows around 20F and ridiculous amounts of snow. But I know I am in the extreme minority here.

To each is own but there are many uses for cold/snow....and if you can't stand it then you're living in the wrong area of this great big country. And don't say I would move if I could cuz it's very easy nowadays to relocate, we have plenty of resources at our disposal that we did not have 20yrs ago. My wife and I lived in NC summer of 2013 and I couldn't stand the humidity.....told my wife that's it let's move back to new england, we sold our house and did just that.

Bottom line, dont just complain about what u dislike.... do something about it....be about it!

I love swampy summer weather; my favorite. I dont get the love of snow and cold. Never have, never will. This week is like a gift because I dread whats coming. I'm ok until about groundhog day, then i'm done. If I could go to sleep from groundhog day until about Patriots day, I'd be happy. 15 years till retirement, then no more snow and cold for me!

My career sector is basically here or the Bay Area, so it's not as easy to move. If I were in a service economy career, sales, law, MD, sure, I'd be in warmer climes yesterday. It's not all that bad. I could do without Feb through mid April though.

And I'd be in Wilmington, NC in a heart beat if I could.

Wilmington is ok...been there a few times. The truth for folks who hate winter, to get though it....just try to do more outdoor activities because people get cabin fever if they stay indoors too much. Dress warm and stay dry, there's alot of fun to be had out there in jan.

Yep...I'd be in Lake Tahoe or the Rockies or Maine if I could be, but unless I want to make far less money given my skillset, then that's an option that would have to wait.

It's not easy for everyone to just pick up and move. If I was still 24, single, and didn't mind scraping by on odd jobs, then it might be a different story.

Having lived in Jackson Hole WY for a year and a half after getting married/before having kids, I can say that was the best best weather I can imagine.   Summer is 75-85 by day, 40s at night with dews never above the 40s.  And winter is obviously cold and ridiculously snowy.

Miss those days of living at 6200' ASL
