powderfreak
Yeah, esp in our neck of the woods. That big storm (if it comes to fruition) in the long range could try and plant a trough over NE that takes a little time to erode. I think we'll then be in "wait mode" for the GOA trough to start retrograding a bit as the wavelengths get longer...if/when it does, that's when we'll probably have our first taste of potential winter. Obviously this is a long ways out, but it's something that happens in El Ninos fairly frequently...probably why we have more November snow events in Ninos vs Ninas. It's getting so close we can taste it...another month and legit threats. Good sign to see Will posting at midday and not only at 11pm. Means winter is coming soon. Means winter is coming soon. My prediction is lots of impatience and knee-jerk cancelling of winter if the warmer start to November idea verifies. Usually it starts as that...then it moves onto severe impatience if we haven't had a moderate snowstorm by Dec 1st even though the odds of that are very low to begin with. But we'll see, the end of October might be cooler where we are even if the plains are torching.
IsentropicLift
The 12z GGEM is pretty epic looking if you want a major storm.
CoastalWx
This one reminds me of one of those screamers we had back in the autumns of 92 and again 95 where we had quite extensive SSE winds LLJ is meh.
Damage In Tolland
LLJ is meh.???Seems like with alignment from top down should be able to transport some nice gusts fairly easily. Maybe 45-50 interior and coast 55+

IsentropicLift
Yeah that seems too fast? Without putting too much analysis into a day 8 run, it was clear ahead of time that this run would be more progressive.
