weathafella
I never saw the heat coming the last 7-10 days of month..Thought after mid month torch we'd stay cool for good Cool for good? In October? Uncommon to say the least!
Ginx snewx
Really? Wow. We're a solid 4 degrees above here. 3 days of 70F+ and only one morning in the 30's through yesterday. We'll skyrocket even higher above this week. ORH PVD too, solid winter signal lol, another rainy Jan for PF while Dendrite is getting 4 per? Ginx snewx
I know. I gave my range as -.5 to +.8 leaning on the warmer side. Certainly no torch, but I thought it may be above. The AO can be as negative as it wants, but it's not a cool pattern given 500 pattern.?AO drop IS day 6-10, 5h supports BN 6-10? 12z Euro Ens agree
powderfreak
ORH PVD too, solid winter signal lol, another rainy Jan for PF while Dendrite is getting 4 per?lol you clown.... I've only seen one month like that in 10 years in VT, and it was near record low. I think Tamarack was record low too over in Maine or close to it for January snowfall (I distinctly remember he had more inches of rain than snow through like half the month) haha.Probably not seeing that again anytime soon...knock on wood, lol. You know I have no problem with some warmer departures in the winter (to a point at least)...no matter how many stats are thrown at me about cold winters and snow at BTV, I don't need it to be -5 all through Dec/Jan/Feb to get snow like you down on the Banana Coast. dendrite
Brian said give it time. Lots of low to mid 60s today...is that supposed to be cold? I never said sunny and warm today...just to give it time to get up to the forecast highs. You were wondering where the warmth was at 10:45am after a cold night behind a retreating high. West Point, NY
Cool for good? In October? Uncommon to say the least! It's like dealing with a 5 yr.old on vacation in the car. Are we there yet daddy? In the past few months it was dews as far as the eye can see from mid July through Aug. Of course, that didn't pan out until early September when he suddenly despised humidity. Then we get peppered with seasons in seasons, why isn't it cool even though it's still summer on the calendar until the end of September when the model God's deem the on-coming cool is here to stay. Now just a couple of weeks later, "many" very earnest men reading several models are concerned we torch through November. In short, emotional wishcasting based upon no intelligent reasoning. Damage In Tolland
Euro op would have highs near 40 next week and lows deep into the 20's, lol. As nice as that would be it's a MLK dream

It's not a cold pattern.oh I thought when I said AO drop and you responded you were talking about next week. AO is barely negative right now but dropping next week again. That combined with a huge PNA rise gives credence to Euro Op it seems for next week

It doesn't really matter in the Fall when it can dump cold on the other side of the globe and/or quirky fall patterns don't give the outcome one might expect. I haven't looked at next week but sounds like euro op is too extreme.

radarman
The CT river valley had trouble mixing out today. Yup it sure did. If it were Dec. with a snowpack we'd be talking one of our special 1/8 sm vis days. Last night got down near freezing in the really low spots, whereas once you climbed up a few hundred feet it was more like 40.
