Some of us apparently have to turn on the heat to have pancakes made for us,priorities

Never saw a home thermometer that read "comfort range" anywhere near 57 degrees. Universally it's 68-72. For at most, an extra 50 bucks this month, I will gladly watch football in shorts and a t-shirt.  Give up some beer before you make your family bundle up in the house.....that would by MY priority

I'm sure Ginxy is the type of guy that makes his family suffer in a cold igloo.  Sheesh.

I keep mine right at 60F...and that's plenty warm for shorts and a t-shirt watching football.  I'd use the AC if it was 68-72 in my house, lol.  All summer I leave all the sliders and windows open until I can get that temp down into the low 60s at night.

I was just wondering if someone fat-fingered their units here...

Tropical Storms simply do not produce Category 5 wind gusts, **unless** said was measured in a meso/TOR, but even then ... land falling TC's that produce twister swarms ..those are usually in the E-OF 0 - 2 range (which Bermuda does not qualify as a land falling event, anyway).

So, logic makes that "155 mile per hour..." statement hugely suspect to put it mildly.

hey can you check it out, I can't see it because of java, but check the ASOS and let me know, it's the one at point something,

Its 60 and nice in the sun. 60 in the house is not comfortable. And no, I don't believe a trace element that comes out of our nose caused the earth to warm. When they are growing grapes all over the lush fields of Greenland as the Vikings documented in 1200, maybe I'll get concerned.

ok good, glad you are not a hypocrit. 60 is absolutely fine when the fall sun is out, 60 in winter nope, keep the house at 70 once we hit Tday and the sun is low

I don't drink beer at all, but my point is there are plenty of other things to modify in the budget before you worry about not being comfortable in your home. This time of year, the heat does not kick on enough to jack up the bill much.

true in winter, now it's like an hour or 2 of chill ,nothing feety pajamas and a long sleeve shirt can't fix, besides that heating season is unhealthy, fresh cool air versus heated dry air

I hate dry, forced air myself but life will be miserable for me if my wife needs to wrap up in a snuggie all day. She complains that 70 is too cold after dinner

They are little dogs, their poops combined don't equal 1 large dog, together they weigh 63 lbs, but we clean the yard twice a day and it's disposed in the woods in the fire pit ash pile

That's a great point about the size...my former 94 pound black lab took human-sized dumps. The yard was pretty rugged each spring when the snowpack left. Shovel and 5-gallon bucket time.
