It looks like we may have already had our heaviest snow as the meso-band slips east. We should hold onto light-moderate snow for another several hours by the looks of it.

that's what I was thinking. looks like accuweather might score the coup here by sticking with their call of 2-4". Still sure looks nice out there! hopefully warning totals will verify for those of you to the east  :snowing:

If we can manage this through 5:00 pm I would not be surprised to see 6" reports in the hills of Adams/York/Lancaster.  The second shortwave is starting to interact over SW VA and you can see the comma head feature beginning to form.  There are incredible dendrites down here in the NW burbs of DC and this should translate well for the Mason-Dixon counties east of I-81.  BIG plus is that after 2:00 - 2:30 the sun will be off the roads and things will get dicey fast.

i'm told 7" in Loysville Pa, which is Northwest Perry County. Not sure i'm buying that

Elevation map shows 560 - 600 feet in that area.  It's possible as the temps in Perry county were only a degree or two above freezing.  They may have flipped to snow within an hour and then just started accumulating.
