stormtracker
1,282 concurrent users. New board record. *noticing some slight slow downs(or is it just me? I'm on crappy wireless), will be tweaking with db processes and cpu optimizations

stormtracker
1,384 peak Memory usage is 16% both quad core CPUs are sweating, but holding nicely. Doing tweaks now to keep it that way. Yay Eek!
Zir0b
Tracker, assuming a 12z euro like solution keeps being modeled up to the event itself...would the server be able to handle all the traffic? you're going to have people from the entire east coast on americanwx.com

Server should be able to handle it. We have our techs on it now. We needed something like today to gauge what we need to tweak. This is providing some great data for us. Please members, post any slowdowns or issues here.

vinylfreak89
if y#all need some help let me know... i dont knwo what techs you have without marcus... just curious... what are your block reads/sec... CPU is one thing for DB handling, but if your disks are bogging you down, you#re creating unnecessary overhead. are you using raptors? or just standard 7200? CPU is one thing for DB handling, but if your disks are bogging you down, you#re creating unnecessary overhead. are you using raptors? or just standard 7200? Agree with processor usage only being 1/2 the battle. At only 16% RAM usage, are you using any type of cacheing (XCache), etc? I would expect to see RAM usage up quite a bit more, leaving A LOT on the table at only 16%.
PennMan
Seems pretty snappy to me...very occasionally it will take an extra 2-3 seconds to load a page, but NBD.
