EastCoast NPZ
Ended up with a high of 77F, 2F above forecast. Nearly everyday we are a couple degrees warmer than forecast. Must be the dry soil.
Disc
Cloudy all day and 70/66 as of 9:45. Sounds like a different world to my north judging from what I'm reading here.

NinjaWarrior2
Nice out despite it being rather cloudy. Off Topic: Phoenix, AZ is having one of the wettest days in their history right now.
smokeybandit
Constant lightning. Good storm Maybe weather related or not: Plane "on the ground" at BWI Airport. Has wing damage. Seems minor though. No injuries reported. This apparently was due to colliding with a baggage truck or something.
Bob Chill
DCA is +8.4 through the first 7 days of the month. Plenty of cool stuff on tap the next 2 weeks. Not sure if we can erase such a big head start though. Dulles and BWI will have an easier time because they do well with lows during cool/dry periods. EastCoast NPZ
Comfy day out. Good to see the clouds; sure makes it look and feel like fall. Clouds are as close as I'll ever get to precipitation here, apparently.

AvantHiatus
Outflow maybe? Pseudo-boundary? Looks like a warm front with convection. I'll keep you updated http://thesurfersview.com/live-beach-cams/south-jersey/cape-may Surf is becoming rough, would not rule out local impacts in DC yet. All of the high res models show a pulsing behavior of the precip shield, looks almost pseduo warm-core.
StudentOfClimatology
I thought you were referring to the skinny line south of Dover. Nice pseudo-nor'easter.
AvantHiatus
I thought you were referring to the skinny line south of Dover. Nice pseudo-nor'easter. Yeah pretty much, it's gone now. The main shield was heading east and the line was heading west. I'm guessing the precip associated directly with the mesoscale low is mostly down in Central VA. It's nothing like a nor-easter, it's deeply tropical btw or at the very least sub-tropical. It's 72/63 with a east wind.

EastCoast NPZ
So a coastal low that drops up to 10" of rain in SE VA moves right off VA Beach, and we can't even get .01" of rain? Pretty much sums up the last 4 months. ... any why on earth is my weather avatar showing rain?? It's definitely not raining, nor has it.

Bob Chill
DCA hasn't booked a bn day this month. Not sure about today. Tomorrow will add some more to the + category. +6.5 or so as of yesterday. I doubt we can erase the head start at this point.

EastCoast NPZ
Front looks like it's ahead of schedule. Line of showers and storms already half-way thru WVA. Bad for storm chances, but maybe we avoid a sweat box today. I'd be thrilled with a tenth of rain today; however, I think I'll take the under. EastCoast NPZ
Good grief. That line of showers has just completely disintegrated over WV. Another rainless day on tap out here.
