StudentOfClimatology
Man if only we had some legit shear today, this puppy would've been a winner. Okay storm, nonetheless. Nice lightning, chilly, gusty outflow.
StudentOfClimatology
Best storm of the season. Constant lightning and consistent rain and wind. Anyone in the area see big wind gusts? We had one here and if I had to estimate it was well over 50... Nice. Not that strong here, maybe 35-40 with the outflow..nothing like beast that hit last weekend. NinjaWarrior2
Probably going to be some flooding reports from American Legion Bridge to the 495/270 Interchanges over to Conneticut Ave. Been raining Heavy their for 35 or so minutes now and it looks like at least 10-15 minutes left

SLPressure
Alexandria and south have been missed by the first round. There is hope further west. Outflow just passed through. Good gusts, maybe 30 mph and really nice dark clouds just north of here. Lots of lightning in the distance. But sadly, just being missed here. Again. Sigh. ThePhotoGuy
Constant lightning. Good storm Maybe weather related or not: Plane "on the ground" at BWI Airport. Has wing damage. Seems minor though. No injuries reported.

mattie g
Burke didn't want to be left out. Good looking lightning just to our southeast. We really didn't get much rain or wind IMBY, but there's been a good amount of lightning and thunder. That boom was a very, very close positive strike. CAPE
Coastal event per WPC grids. Looks like a nasty period with heavy rain for immediate coasts of MD, DE. with that low moving NE. 3- 5 inches of rain not out of the question. Remains to be seen how far inland any impacts from this system can make it . Fringed at this point. http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/qpf/d13_fill.gif?1410087196551

snowfan
Awful yesterday. Went through two shirts while in State College for the day. In and out of storms all the way back to Baltimore with some of the best lightning I've seen.
PrinceFrederickWx
Tiny storm over Solomons and then the main batch cuts off around the Calvert/Arundel county border. Like I haven't seen this a million times this year already... ugh Boy was I wrong on this one. We ended up with a great storm and over an inch of rain. smokeybandit
Awful yesterday. Went through two shirts while in State College for the day. In and out of storms all the way back to Baltimore with some of the best lightning I've seen. I was actually hoping the rain would come through to cool us off during the game. And even when the line did come through around 5pm, it didn't do much.
