high risk Posted October 1, 2014 Share Posted October 1, 2014 fair amount of low rolling thunder now in southern Howard County, likely from the line crossing I-270. an interesting line has developed out ahead of that one and keeps building south - does not appear to have lightning but looks to have very heavy rain. I thought about it for a bit, but after my old VP2 started spitting out 150 degree readings in the Sun, I just kinda knew...haha. Got to test the anemometer/rain gauge this evening too w/ the new roof mount...got a wind gust to 11mph and a brief 2.65"/hr rainfall rate, which was on par with the surrounding PWS readings. Thinking of buying a 30-50ft telescoping pole so I can mount the anemometer even higher, but in DC I dunno about the legality of that.
