John1122
Full on big, wet flakes now. Hopefully all the upstream moisture works this way.
Carvers Gap
Check out those winds....I would think the wind chill would be lower.
Jed33
Got some flurries around outside here now. Temp has dropped to
Daniel Boone
Light to moderate snow here now. Changed over little over an hour ago. Rather small flakes coming down in windblown waves now. Were some dime to nickel sized earlier.
John1122
Wind driven white out again here. Very impressive rates and wind.
Silas Lang
Wind has been ripping all evening/night. Very loud. Actually getting some flurries and tiny flakes.
John1122
Those bands are hardly showing up on radar but visibility drops to around 1/4th mile and the snow blows in sideways when they pass. I've got about 1/2 inch on cars and the deck and just a dusting on the grass, none on gravels or roads, it's 33.6 degrees.
Silas Lang
Still pretty windy out. Ripping some small flakes. Really wet snow, but hard. Almost sounds like sleet. Got a dusting on cars, deck, and grass. 35 degrees.
John1122
Snowed pretty much all night long and is snowing now, but not really able to add much accumulation to the dusting. I'd guess above 2200-2500 it's probably a bit below freezing and there might be an inch or so there on the leaves. Maybe the snow showers tonight will put down a half inch or so since it should get into the 20s.
JayCee
Noticed snow flying last night, and flurries falling this morning. Temps too warm for any stickage.
John1122
Just had another heavy, windy snow shower blow through with big, wet, quarter sized flakes. It's almost that summer storm effect.

Daniel Boone
Wound up with about 1/4" here last night of which melted later in morning. Still off on snow showers, flakes and graupel. No ACC's from those as temps 34 now. About an inch or more 2000 feet on up overnight and this morning along stone mountain . Still on up there. Runman292
A moderate band of sleet and graupel is falling near downtown Knoxville.

John1122
Moderate/heavy snow falling here. Hope we can get this moisture and 32 instead of 34 at some point this evening.
JayCee
Moderate band of snow moving through my area. Temp dropped from 41 to 35 due to the intensity of the band. However, most of it isn't sticking. But didn't expect to see anything this heavy today. If only it was colder.
JayCee
Wow...that was an impressive snow band! It was snowing so hard (and melting) that water was running in my gutters. Right before it stopped, the flakes grew to an enormous size. Temp now stuck at 35F.
1234snow
Very unimpressive event. Just a few flurries here. Upslope events turn into downslope events here. Never works out unless there is shortwave energy moving thru.
John1122
Keep getting heavy showers that cover things then they die out and it melts off. Ground is very warm/wet still.

Blue Ridge
Temps are sprinting today. KTRI was 33 at 8 and 58 at 11 under sunny skies. ETA: 66 at high noon with a SW wind. MRX already bumped up highs a bit, but we'll see 70° if cloud cover holds off long enough.
Jed33
Not much, but have had enough snow grains and ice pellets to show up in the eves of rooftops and on the picnic table this AM. Temp is 32.
Carvers Gap
Temps are sprinting today. KTRI was 33 at 8 and 58 at 11 under sunny skies. ETA: 66 at high noon with a SW wind. MRX already bumped up highs a bit, but we'll see 70° if cloud cover holds off long enough. And then flurries in west Kingsport the very next morning...the wild swings of spring are definitely here. Jed33
I had to do some work today in Kingsport, and I missed seeing it where I was working, but heading back down I81, I see between the I26 interchange and mile marker 50, headed south, evidently a pretty good snow shower set up, as there was a nice dusting on the hillsides and few houses/barns in that area. Nothing south of that though
John1122
Had a nice round of snow showers that left a coating on everything this morning. Not much warming at all today, sitting on 29 at 1 pm.

ShawnEastTN
Snow sleet mixing and 41 degrees... ha ha. Love the absurdity of winter get storms a degree or 2 above freezing with no freezing precip, then in spring nearly 10 degrees above freezing with frozen precip. Must be an extremely shallow warm surface.
